LAGBUS is a foremost intra city transport company setting standards for operation of bus transportation in Lagos State. We require a credible manager with demonstrable expertise in Supply Chain Management to occupy the post of Supply Chain Manager in our organisation.

The ideal candidate must have a strong background in Finished Product sourcing- domestic and international products sourcing; must have worked in 24x7 service environment and have a strong background integrated forecasting and demand planning with purchasing execution .

This position requires an experienced “hands -on” Purchasing and Inventory leader that is able to drive results in a fast paced, demanding short cycle 24/7 work environment.


Coordinate all purchasing activities, manage and develop supplier relationships and negotiations.

Drive cost reduction and support revenue growth.

Work closely with User Department (e.g. Maintenance Team) for stock items requirement and handling of objections and complaints on stocks items.

Define performance measurement and evaluation of supplier performance.

Keep abreast of relevant economic, industry, supply market, and business conditions.

Provide timely updates to senior leadership for supply assurance.

Ensure compliance to formal sourcing, procurement policies and preferred supplier agreements.

Ensure minimum quantity levels are maintained on all stock items.

Provide financial and other management score-card metric to senior leadership.

Maintain a “no surprises” Supply Chain environment.

Manage resources both, human and physical, through good practices, appraisal systems, implementation of compensation and benefit programs, communication systems, and performance management techniques.

Ensure proper record of all materials and stock items.

Ensure clear documentation of Procurement and Inventory Processes.


Bachelor Degree or Higher National Diploma required. Masters Degree preferred.

5+ years’ Inventory and Procurement Management experience.

Familiarity with in-house maintenance of vehicles shall be helpful.

Strong background in contemporary supply chain, sourcing, purchasing and inventory management methods and tools.

Exemplary negotiating and team facilitation skills.

Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria (CIPSMN) is desirable.

Advanced competency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

Knowledge and competency in Procurement and Inventory Management Software.

Closure of Dopemu & Iyana Ipaja bridges

The Lagos State Government says Dopemu and Iyana Ipaja bridges along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway will be closed to public use for 10 days each.

It was stated that while Dopemu Bridge would be closed from Saturday 15th March to Monday 24th March, 2014, Iyana Ipaja Bridge would be shut between Tuesday 25TH March and Saturday 5TH April, 2014.
